ALL INDIA RADIO release their 21st studio album The Unified Field, a “post-rock elegy for David Lynch”, channeling his surrealism and meditative spirit through dream-like slowcore, ambient rock, and downtempo textures.
 
The Unified Field in the band’s own words: “I was devastated when David Lynch died. I thought he’d live forever. Growing up in the 80’s and 90s we were spoilt for Lynch’s work. I even love his troubled version of Dune (which inspired the album cover art). But it was Twin Peaks The Return that unlocked a whole new realm of creativity and I knew I wanted to record an album that not necessarily sounded like -but felt like- Twin Peaks: The Return. That meant returning to a more live sound, like our 2003 self titled album, the f irst album we recorded as a fully fledged band. That album got compared a lot to Labradford (who we once supported live), Pan American and Duster. It’s a sound Ive always loved. Slow and minimal, a little bit experimental, interspersed with Twin Peaks-esque tremolo guitars.
 
Cosmic sonic architect Martin Kennedy aka All India Radio and the other half of Kilbey Kennedy has created shimmering aural edifices that cross genres and defy easy definition across a staggering 30+ releases since the late 1990s. The band have had music used in TV shows One Tree Hill, CSI Miami, MTV's 16 and Pregnant and The Crying Game, Bondi Rescue and many more. Canadian metal legend Devin Townsend loved an All India Radio song so much he asked if he could rework it into one of his own songs 'Call of The Void'
